Engineering Practices Laboratory is used to provide exposure to the first year students with hands on experience on various basic engineering practices in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The fresher’s who are coming for professional education must be aware of all type of engineering works with proper standard procedure.
This Laboratory is intended to impart skills to plan and carry out simple electrical wiring, study of iron box, Fan Regulator etc., It is essential for the practicing engineers to identify the basic practices and safety measures in electrical wiring
Electric Circuits lab is to expose the students to the of electrical circuits and give them experimental skill. The purpose of lab experiment is to continue to build circuit construction skills using different circuit element. It also aims to introduce MATLAB a circuit simulation software tool.
Electronic evices and circuits Laboratory is specially designed and developed for the students to observe the characteristics of various electronic devices. This lab is well provided with equipment like Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes (CRO), Digital Oscilloscopes, Regulated DC power supplies (RPS), Function Generators and Digital and Analog meters of a wide range. This lab gives practical observation on different basic applications of electronic devices. At the end of the semester the student will handle any basic level electronic circuits.
Electrical Machines Laboratory (I &II) Concerns with electrical machines types (DC and AC machines), power, efficiency, characteristics of electrical machines as a motor, generator, determining the parameters and performance characteristics of transformer, methods of control of the speed of motor, control of the generator voltage etc.
Through hands-on experiments with real machines, students gain practical experience on transformers and various types of machine drives. This Laboratory caters the need of Students to enable them to easily understand the basics and adapt to advanced experiments like modelling of Electrical Machines and special Electrical machines.
Control & Instrumentation Laboratory refers the analysis, measurement, and control of industrial process variables using process control instruments and software tools such as temperature, pressure, flow, and level sensors, analyzers, electrical and mechanical actuators, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) systems, automated control systems and more.
Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory helps the students to understand the basic operation of Microprocessors and Microcontrollers along with fundamental programming skills in assembly language and Embedded C programming. The aim of the lab is to provide hands-on training to interface I/O devices, perform A/D and D/A conversions, design traffic light etc.
The skills acquired through the experiments help the students to do their projects and enhance their knowledge on the latest trends and technologies. This laboratory provides facilities for the use of 8/16 bit microprocessors /microcontrollers and their interfacing for different applications, using hardware and software concepts to meet industry standards.
Power Electronics and Drives Laboratory is equipped with Single Phase and Three Phase AC to DC Converters, different types of DC-DC Choppers, Single Phase AC Voltage Controllers, Cyclo-converters, Single Phase and Three Phase Inverters to provide hands on experience in design and testing.
The integration of power electronic converters with electric machines and control is one of the main aims of this laboratory. The laboratory also enhances the skills of building circuits on PCB boards through practicing and hands on experimentation, it also adds experience with common components such as motors, variable frequency drives, and power semiconductors.
Power system simulation laboratory is to study and analyze the fundamentals of power system analysis to benefit the students. The outcome of this virtual lab explains the importance of the practical knowledge for the Engineering students. This also invokes the mind of students to analyses the given topic both manually as well as practically. This gives a clear view on the modelling of power system, formation of Y-bus, power flow analysis and explains the practical use.
The simulation, functioning, observation, inference, survey, advantages has been completely analyzed in this virtual lab platform. This helps to acquire practical learning experiences in the field of power system by visualizations in digital platform.
Renewable Energy Sources (RES) lab is transforming energy through design, development, modeling and energy efficient technologies. The art facilities such as solar PV panel, Micro wind turbine, fuel cell technologies
Renewable energy is energy produced from sources like the sun and wind that are naturally replenished and do not run out. Renewable energy can be used for electricity generation, space and water heating and cooling, and transportation.
